The global construction industry is a vast and ever-changing field, encompassing a widerange of projects and building types, from residential and commercial properties toinfrastructure and industrial developments. Despite ongoing challenges such aseconomic uncertainty, technological advancements, and environmental concerns, theindustry continues to grow and evolve.

In contrast, the construction industry in Nigeria is relatively underdeveloped and facesseveral challenges. These include a lack of access to funding and financing, limitedaccess to advanced technology and equipment, and a lack of skilled labor. Additionally,the industry is often plagued by corruption, which can make it difficult for companies tosecure contracts and complete projects on time and within budget.

It isalso expected to create direct wealth for more than 5 million traders in the agriculturalvalue chain when completed, while also guaranteeing uninterrupted food supplies tomore than 10 million Lagosians especially during a period of scarcity.Overall, the Nigerian construction industry has a long way to go to be able to competeglobally, but with companies like Rhema Project BCEGI leading the pack and with theright investments and initiatives, it has the potential to become a major player in theglobal construction landscape.
